Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday attended passing-out parade of Balochistan’s Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) in Quetta, Samaa reported.
Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and other high officials of provincial government, FC, police and Pakistan Army also witnessed the parade.
It was first ever batch of the CTF passing out from Quetta’s counter terrorism training academy.
The batch, comprising 200 commandos including 18 lady constables, received 30-day training from Pakistan Army at the academy.
The passing out soldiers also carried out mock exercises displaying their capabilities against terrorists.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief Raheel Sharif distributed awards and certificated to the best trainees of the batch.
Yesterday, PM Nawaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on his two-day visit during which he reviewed implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) aimed at ridding the country of militancy and terrorism.
