On October 18, 2025, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir delivered a powerful speech at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul.

Field Marshal urged the Afghan Taliban to take immediate action against terrorist groups, such as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), that are operating from Afghan soil. Speaking at the passing-out parade of the 152nd PMA Long Course and other cadet courses, he emphasised Pakistan’s determination to defend its sovereignty.

#COAS Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said the Army met internal & external challenges with the nation as a shield.

Operation Bunyaan al Marsoos proved our capabilities, he said.

Munir demanded the Taliban stop proxies attacking Pakistan, following a ceasefire extended for Doha talks after clashes killed 23 Pakistani soldiers and over 200 militants. He celebrated Pakistan’s triumph in Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, downing Rafale jets and targeting S-400 bases, showcasing “multidomain warfare.” He criticised India’s “strategic blindness” and evidence manipulation, warning, “There’s no space for war in a nuclearised environment.”

Munir vowed to crush India-backed proxies: “Every state proxy will be raised to dust.” He assured no loss of Pakistani land, saluting martyrs and Ghazis. “Our armed forces, with national support, safeguard sovereignty,” he said, noting Pakistan’s unity as a “wall of steel.”

Munir’s speech reinforces Pakistan’s firm stance on security and regional stability. His warnings signal robust defence policies amid tensions.
