Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif attended the funeral prayers of the soldiers who were martyred in yesterday’s clash with terrorists in North Waziristan.

At least 19 terrorists were killed and several others injured in the intense crossfire with the security forces near Shawal valley of North Waziristan.

The fight near the Afghan border left four military personnel, including a senior officer Captain Umair, martyred.

According to ISPR, the army chief and a large number of officers attended funeral prayers of the martyred in Peshawar. He later visited CMH to see the injured soldiers.

“They were martyred but didn’t allow terrorists to escape from Shawal. We are determined to finish all terrorists from their pockets and every nook and corner in country,” the army chief said, according to ISPR.
