Rawalpindi: Several people received injuries including bullet wounds when workers of political rivals Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) came face to face here late on Sunday.

Initial reports suggest that the sides clashed with each other on Kurri Road area for no apparent reason. Injured are being shifted to nearby hospitals.

PTI’s Karachi-based leader Imran Ismail told Geo News that five of party activists received bullet wounds. He vowed to bring those behind the incident to book.
