Formula 1, Christian Horner, Red Bull’s team principal, is facing an investigation over allegations of inappropriate behaviour prompted by an internal complaint.
Red Bull, the 2023 F1 champion team, has responded with an official statement acknowledging the launch of an independent inquiry into the allegations reported by several media outlets.
The statement details, “Following the emergence of certain allegations, an independent external investigation has commenced. An external specialist barrister is conducting this process, emphasizing the company’s commitment to addressing these serious matters. The investigation aims for swift completion, though further comments are withheld during this period.”
The Dutch publication The Telegraaf has identified the accuser as a team insider and is questioning the British executive’s conduct.
Horner has refuted these accusations. Nevertheless, Red Bull has initiated an independent review led by Oliver Mintzlaff, the sports department director of the Central European team, treating the situation with utmost seriousness.
