TAIYUAN, China: China launched a Long March-6C rocket on Tuesday, August 25. It carried seven satellites into their planned orbits, Xinhua reported.

The rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in northern Shanxi province. The mission marked the 665th flight of China’s Long March carrier rocket series. Separately, China postponed the Chang’e-7 lunar probe mission planned for 2026.

China’s space authorities said the mission did not meet the required launch conditions. As a result, Chang’e-7 will miss its planned launch window this year.

Officials said they made the decision after assessing mission safety and reliability. China had planned to launch Chang’e-7 in the coming days.
