Multan: Police have booked five accused out of eight in a child abuse scandal in Multan. The accused were said to have captured videos with the threat of uploading them on internet on disclosure of the tragedy.

Police have also conducted raids in search of the rest of the three accused. According to the police, the child abuse scandal came to light after the disclosure of Pakistan’s biggest child abuse scandal in Kasur.

A spokesman to City Police Inspector Rana Zaheeruddin Babar said the Mumtazabad police have registered child sex abuse complaint against eight accused.

They are Ehtisham Sindhu, Ahmed Baloch, Arbaz, Shan, Jafar Ghouri, Juna, Mohsin and Irfan. The accused were involved in sexually abusing a 9th class student RF* and capturing it on video.

The accused were blackmailing the family in order to receive more money and the family lodged complaint after failing to meet the demands by the culprits.

The victim’s father lodged his complaint with Mumtazabad police stating that his son was 13 or 14 years old. He was studying in 9th class when his class fellow Muhammad Tayyab and Islam kidnapped him at gunpoint three months ago.

The kidnappers shifted his son at a deserted house where three accused Ehtisham Sindhu, Ahmed Baloch, Niyiaz sodomized the boy and the rest of the five accused captured videos.

The accused were blackmailing the family for the last three months and receiving heavy money for not uploading the video on internet.

Mumtazabad police have arrested the five accused and conducted raids for the search of the rest of the three accused, police spokesperson added. (Initials used to protect victim’s identity)
