Careem Pakistan has launched a “Later Booking” feature, enabling customers to schedule their rides in advance.
The new “Later Booking” functionality allows users to book a ride at least two hours before departure, ensuring a reliable vehicle is available, even without immediate connectivity.
The feature is particularly useful for students, office workers, airport transfers, and event attendees. To schedule a ride, users open the Careem app, select their ride type, and choose their preferred time using the “NOW” dropdown menu.
The system incorporates multiple checks to guarantee punctuality and a seamless experience. These include confirming the availability of the assigned captain, allowing a 15-minute waiting window upon the captain’s arrival, and ensuring access to the best available vehicles.
Imran Saleem, General Manager at Careem, emphasized the significance of mobility in daily life. “Mobility is crucial in our society where customers depend on us for seamless movement. We recognize the unique challenges in our market and continually strive to introduce solutions that simplify and enhance the lives of our users,” he stated.
Saleem highlighted that whether a student is heading to class or a professional attends a crucial meeting, this feature aims to cater to their specific needs and make their daily routines more manageable.
In addition to “Later Booking,” Careem also offers “Premium 5 & 10” services, which allow customers to book vehicles for extended periods, like five hours or an entire day. This is ideal for events such as weddings or inter-city travel where continuous transport is needed throughout the day.
