At least 25 people, including women and children, have been killed in two car bomb attacks in Homs.
More than 107 others were also injured by the bombings that took place on Wednesday in Karm el-Loz, a government-held district of the western city.
The explosions struck a commercial street in the central part of Homs, which has been a scene of fierce fighting between soldiers of the Syrian army and rebel fighters.
The first blast occurred near a sweets shop in a busy street and was followed by a second one 100 meters away around half an hour later.
The second blast went off as ambulances and fire engines were working at the first site.
