A BTS V Weverse reply mentioning biryani and karahi excited Pakistani fans on July 17, but South Korean K-pop singer Kim Taehyung later announced there would be no Pakistan visit.
The exchange began when a fan asked, “Taetae, when Pakistan?” V responded: “If I go to Pakistan, will you make Biriyani and Karahi?” according to the Weverse post.
The platform presented the response through its automated translation feature. V did not provide a date or indicate that BTS was planning a concert in Pakistan.
Pakistani members of ARMY, the official name for BTS fans, shared the exchange across social media. Many welcomed his recognition of two dishes widely associated with Pakistani cuisine.
BTS is currently performing its “ARIRANG” World Tour with RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook.
