Singer Britney Spears has reportedly left a Southern California rehabilitation facility after completing a three-week stay. This happened ahead of a Ventura County DUI arraignment.
The 44-year-old pop star left the treatment centre on Wednesday evening, according to media reports.
Spears is scheduled to appear on Monday at Ventura County Superior Court. There, she will be formally informed of the DUI charge and asked to enter a plea.
The case stems from her arrest in Ventura County, California, about five weeks before she entered rehab. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Spears said she was in a “positive mindset” and continuing counselling while focusing on personal stability.
Spears had also begun attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and had been cautious with lifestyle choices, including avoiding alcohol.
Spears was prioritising time with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Spears’ representatives previously said she intended to comply with legal obligations and pursue support systems to move forward constructively.
