Internet sensation Bri Teresi is making a name for herself as a vocal critic of corporate entities she believes have bowed to “woke” culture, with Bud Light and Target finding themselves in her crosshairs.
In a recent highly-publicized stunt, Teresi demonstrated her opposition by shooting paint-filled balloons above products from Bud Light, Honey Birdette lingerie, and Tampax tampons, all companies she contends have succumbed to the “woke” movement. Her video quickly went viral, becoming a key figure in the pushback against mega-corporations.
Target is her most recent target (pun intended). Teresi objected to the retailer’s “pride collection,” alleging Target engaged a designer who practices Satanism. Then, with her 1.5 million followers in tow, she called for a boycott of Target, coining the hashtag #boycotttarget.
Target’s “Pride” collection incites controversy, leading to a $10 Billion plunge in market value. The contentious “Pride” collection from Target has led to a drastic hit to the company’s market valuation. In ten days, Target’s market value saw a massive $10 billion decrease as share prices dropped. Before the scandal, shares were priced at $160.96; however, as of May 31, they have fallen to $132.07.
Teresi and others assert that the backlash against Target’s collection results from the company selling “Pride” onesies and swimsuits specifically marketed towards transgender customers. Teresi made her stand quite visible by setting up a Target-inspired shooting range and displaying her shooting skills.
Despite her bold stand, Teresi admits to experiencing repercussions. She revealed that she’d lost business deals due to her firm support for her beliefs. Yet, she remains steadfast, emphasizing the need for individuals to resist what she sees as a worrying societal trend. Teresi rallied for men and women of strength across all sectors to counteract what she regarded as absurdities.
