Brad Pitt’s children have taken legal steps to remove his surname, as twins Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt turn 18 on July 12.
The twins’ birthday will mark the end of the custody arrangement Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had for their six children.
The former couple share Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and twins Vivienne and Knox. The family has remained separated for years.
Maddox Jolie-Pitt legally applied to drop Pitt’s name last week, according to the report. The filing followed similar public attention around the children’s use of the Jolie surname.
Page Six cited an insider who claimed Jolie had “alienated the children from Brad,” especially those who had once been close to him.
Another source rejected that claim, saying the “Maria” actor had not manipulated the children during the legal dispute.
