Brad Pitt Gears Up for British Grand Prix Appearance in Upcoming Film Co-Produced by Lewis Hamilton
Brad Pitt is set to attend the British Grand Prix on July 9 in preparation for his new film, which is co-produced by Lewis Hamilton and the creators of Top Gun: Maverick, a major blockbuster this year.
Pitt has been spotted at several Grand Prix events recently, suggesting he is preparing for the film’s production. The Telegraph reports that Pitt will drive a specially modified Formula Two car for filming purposes.
Lewis Hamilton is collaborating with Pitt on the project, reportedly taking on a producer role, while the Mercedes-Benz team has made the necessary modifications to Pitt’s vehicle.
Event organizers have stated that Pitt will drive and film during the practice session, but he will be the only one on the track.
Hamilton has been actively involved with the film’s crew and production team. He shared his experience working with producer Joseph Kosinski, saying, “Joe’s focus is to make sure we’re as immersed in the sport as possible and that it’s up to date, while my focus is on making it authentic, believable, and presenting a different angle on racing than what you might see on TV.”
In the movie, Brad Pitt will emerge from racing retirement. Hamilton emphasized his commitment to the script and casting, saying, “I’m focused on making sure the script delivers and that we have an amazing and diverse cast.”
Hamilton expressed his enjoyment of the filmmaking process, stating, “Right now, I’m spending a lot of time helping Joe and the team fine-tune the script, which is an incredible process that I’m really enjoying.”
Apple has secured the film’s rights, and its budget is estimated at $160 million.
