The water supply to different areas today has been suspended as the Gharo pumping station of the Karachi Water Board is not functioning due to technical problem in the sub-station of Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited (K-electric).
According to the Karachi Water Board spokesperson, the power of the pumping station is cut off due to technical issue in the sub-station of the K-Electric. However, no team has reached the sub-station to fix the problem.
The spokesperson of the Water Board said that the power was cut off at around 6 am today and the technical problem has not been fixed so far. Reluctantly, the water supply to Landhi Korangi, Malir, Shah Faisal and Gulistan Johar has been cut off.
