A low-intensity bomb exploded outside the office of a cable operator located in Quaidabad area of the metropolis early morning, partially damaging the office and triggering tension in the area.
According to police, the incident took place when the bomb that was placed in a metal box exploded outside the office of a cable operator in F-2 area of Quaidabad, however no casualty was reported.
Police said an improvised explosive device (IED) was used in the blast that carried 50 grams of explosive material. The blast broke the shutter of the office and smashed its glass front. Since no extortion demand has been made it appears to be a terror attack meant solely to spread fear in the area. Police have commenced investigations.
