Actor Blake Lively attended the Met Gala 2026 in New York on May 4 as an invited Vogue guest. She attended just hours after settling her legal dispute with “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
E! News reported that Vogue editor Anna Wintour invited Lively. This contradicts social media claims that she paid to attend the annual fashion fundraiser.
Lively attended the event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with her cousin William McAlpin as her plus-one. The gala’s 2026 theme was “Costume Art,” with the dress code “Fashion Is Art.”
The actor wore an archival Atelier Versace gown from the Spring 2006 collection. The dress featured a 13-foot train, lavender crystals and Venetian Rococo-inspired tones.
Lively also carried a custom Judith Leiber clutch decorated with watercolour paintings made by her four children with actor Ryan Reynolds: James, 11; Inez, 9; Betty, 6; and Olin, 3.
The appearance came after Lively and Baldoni reached a settlement in their nearly two-year legal dispute linked to the 2024 film “It Ends With Us.” The parties kept the settlement terms confidential. Neither side admitted wrongdoing.
Legal representatives for both parties issued a joint statement saying the film remained a source of pride. They also said they hoped the resolution would allow all involved to move forward constructively.
