The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced that the BIEK intermediate exams 2026 will begin on April 29, giving students in Karachi a confirmed date for the first phase of the annual examinations.
BIEK Chairman Ghulam Hussain Lakho said the board has completed preparations for the upcoming exams. The announcement covers candidates from the Science groups, the General Group, Arts (Regular), and Home Economics. The first phase of the 2026 annual intermediate examinations will commence on April 29.
The board said it has completed arrangements for Science candidates in Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering, as well as for students in the General Group. It has also finalised preparations for Arts (Regular) and Home Economics candidates.
Lakho said the board has already dispatched admit cards to the residential addresses of all private candidates.
Students who do not receive their admit cards have been advised to visit the board office on April 27. They must bring their fee receipt, registration card or matriculation mark sheet to collect the document.
The board said it has put in place all necessary measures to conduct the examinations in a transparent and organised manner.
That assurance comes as Karachi’s education boards continue to adjust exam processes amid a broader shift from manual systems to digital operations. Officials revised the Secondary School Certificate schedule earlier due to issues related to that transition.
