Former President Joe Biden filed a lawsuit to block the release of private audio recordings and transcripts from talks with his biographer.
The files come from 2016 and 2017 interviews with ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer for Biden’s memoir, “Promise Me, Dad.”
Special counsel Robert Hur used the recordings in his investigation into classified documents.
Hur said Biden read excerpts from a classified notebook to Zwonitzer. He did not recommend criminal charges.
The Justice Department plans to release redacted material to Congress and the Heritage Foundation on June 15.

The Heritage Foundation sued for the files under the Freedom of Information Act. Biden’s lawsuit says the release would invade privacy and expose personal talks from his home.
