LANSING, Michigan, United States: The Benson-Brinks ticket is set after Democratic governor nominee Jocelyn Benson chose Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks as her running mate.
Brinks represents Grand Rapids and leads the Michigan Senate. Benson said she wanted a partner who shared her commitment to serving voters across the state.
The announcement also completes the two major-party tickets for November’s governor election. Republican nominee John James selected state Representative Jay DeBoyer of Clay Township as his running mate last week.
