The seventh death anniversary of Pakistan People’s Party chairperson Benazir Bhutto was observed in Dallas.
A memorial service was hosted by the North Texas chapter of PPP. The event was participated by political, social and literary leadership of North Texas including Dr. Fareeha Qazi, Syed Fayyaz Hassan, Nasreen Zahid Khanzada, Akramah Khan, Ghulam Nabi Kalwar an a large number of Dallas Fort Worth residents.
They paid glowing tributes to the legacy of late Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Discussing the legacy of Mohtarma Bhutto, they said that Benazir Bhutto was a true champion of democracy and in this struggle for democracy, she gave her life to the cause.
They said that Pakistan People’s Party is the only political Party in Pakistan that besides common workers, leaders themselves rendered sacrifices.
The memorial service was also participated by Democratic Party activist Terry Mesa, who said that she was highly impressed by Ms. Benazir Bhutto in her two trips to North Texas.
