A foreign tourist in Islamabad, Pakistan, was abducted and subjected to sexual abuse over several days.
Reports indicate that a Belgian woman was kidnapped by unidentified individuals in Islamabad and held captive for five days at an undisclosed location, where she endured sexual assault. As her condition worsened, the perpetrators abandoned her, leaving her bound in the G-6 area of Islamabad. A passerby discovered her and alerted the police.
The police confirmed that the woman is from Belgium. In her initial statement, she recounted being sexually assaulted by the suspects for five days. The woman had recently arrived in Pakistan before falling into the hands of her abductors. Once her condition deteriorated, they abandoned her on Sadr Road in G-6/1, leaving her bound and distressed.
The police promptly registered a case and transferred the woman to Polyclinic for a medical examination. An investigation is underway.
Aisha Ali Bhutta, sharing a video of the victim, urged, “Please, let’s shift focus from PTI and also work on improving the country’s image. We are now counted among notorious nations; some mercy is needed.”
