The British Academy will host the 2025 BAFTA Awards, celebrating the best in British cinema and television. With nearly 80 years of history, the ceremony honours outstanding work in Hollywood and emphasizes the strong collaboration between the UK and the US.
This year’s BAFTA nominations, presented at the Royal Festival Hall in London, feature a range of exceptional films. Leading the pack is Conclave, with 12 nominations, followed by Emilia Perez with 11 and The Brutalist with nine. Close behind are Anora, Dune: Part II, and Wicked, each with seven nominations. Other films include A Complete Unknown, Kneecap with six, and Nosferatu with The Substance with five.
In acting categories, Ralph Fiennes is a strong contender for Best Actor for his role in Conclave, while Demi Moore leads for Best Actress in The Substance. The Brutalist is poised to be a favourite for Best Film, with Edward Berger also in the spotlight for Best Director for his work on Conclave.
