The Pakistan Cricket Board selected Babar Azam as the captain of the national team for white-ball formats, including One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
The PCB’s decision comes after the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection committee unanimously recommended Azam for the leadership role. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has officially appointed Azam, marking a new strategic path for the team in limited-overs cricket.
Babar Azam, widely regarded as one of the finest batsmen in contemporary cricket, has already shown remarkable prowess on the field. His leadership skills have been evident in his previous captaincy stints, and his strategic understanding and ability to inspire his teammates have been widely acknowledged.
The appointment is seen as a strategic move by the PCB to stabilize and strengthen the team’s performance in ODIs and T20Is.
Babar Azam’s track record, including his batting achievements and previous leadership experiences, played a crucial role in his being the preferred choice. His vision for the team and his commitment to excellence are expected to drive the Pakistan men’s cricket team to new heights in the international arena.
