Avatar Aang release date has been set for July 25, with Paramount announcing that the animated film will premiere globally on Paramount+.
Paramount had earlier planned to release Avatar: The Last Airbender in theatres on October 9 before moving the film to a direct-to-streaming release.
The studio shifted the project to streaming in December 2025. The full film leaked online in April, which likely pushed Paramount to speed up the release.
Paramount also released the first trailer and first-look images ahead of the film’s expected appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.

The film stars Eric Nam as Aang, Dave Bautista as Tagah, Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Steven Yeun as Zuko and Dionne Quan as Toph.
The official logline says Avatar Aang learns of an ancient power that could save his culture from extinction. He then starts a global search with his friends before the power falls into the wrong hands.
The film is based on the animated series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Tim Hedrick, Kenneth Lin and DiMartino also worked on the story, while Lauren Montgomery directed.
