An Indian man attacked the prayer leader of historic Shahi Mosque Imam Ahmed Shah Bukhari on Sunday in New Delhi, according to Indian media reports.
According to the reports, the accused first threw a bottle filled with kerosene on the Imam and later was igniting a lighter to burn him when guards of the Imam apprehended the culprit.
The Imam of the mosque remained safe the reports clarified. The report said the 26 year old male attacker, who belonged to Western Bengal, was handed over to the police.
