Federal government may appoint Atif Bajwa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bank Alfalah as the new governor of the State Bank of Pakistan.
According to sources, Atif Bajwa, who is the President and CEO of bank Alfalah since March 2011 may be appointed as the governor State Bank of Pakistan. Subsequently, Nauman Ansari (Ex- CEO & President) Faysal Bank is being named as the next CEO of Bank Alfalah.

Atif Bajwa previously worked for MCB Bank and Soneri Bank as President and CEO.
The official notification regard-ing governorship of SBP is expected to be released within a couple of days.
