ASUS has listed the ROG Gjallar gaming soundbar in the US for $600. The company designed its first gaming soundbar for multiplayer gaming and headset-free voice communication.
The ROG Gjallar uses a 5.1.2-channel speaker configuration with Dolby Atmos. ASUS also includes a wireless 6.5-inch, 65W subwoofer.
The subwoofer connects over a dedicated 5GHz wireless link. ASUS says this setup helps reduce audio lag. The soundbar includes an audio control hub with integrated microphones.
ASUS says its processing can separate teammate voices and game audio while suppressing background noise. An LCD screen provides access to volume, playback, input selection and equaliser profiles.
Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1 with eARC, USB-C, optical audio, 3.5mm AUX and Bluetooth 5.3. Two USB-A ports support wireless dongles and other accessories.

ASUS says the ROG Gjallar works with PCs, Macs, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. It also supports Nintendo Switch, mobile devices and televisions.

The ROG Gjallar appears on ASUS’ US website and Best Buy. ASUS offers a “Notify Me” option on its website for customers waiting for a product to become available.
