An army officer sacrificed his life while leading an intelligence-based operation in the Sambaza area of Balochistan’s Zhob district. The operation, confirmed by the army’s media wing on Tuesday, eliminated three terrorists.
According to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted the operation in the Sambaza area. The intense engagement with the terrorists eliminated the threat.
During the operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, killing three terrorists. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the site.
Major Babar Khan, aged 33, from Mianwali, led his troops from the front. He fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom during the intense exchange of fire.
A sanitisation operation is currently underway to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorist presence in the area.
“Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts to sabotage peace, stability, and progress in Balochistan,” the statement asserted. “Such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.”
