A four day anti-polio campaign has been launched by the health department of Balochistan in three ‘high risk’ districts of the province as per media reports.
Balochistan’s health department has said that the polio immunization campaign will take place from 15th September to 18th September in which 700,000 children, under the age of five years, will be immunized from the virus.
The anti-polio campaign will be held in Balochistan’s districts of Quetta, Pishin and Qilla Abdullah. Polio Monitoring Cell has stated that the authorities have made special arrangements for the vaccination process that have never been applied before.
Around 1500 teams have been formed for the four day campaign.
