Andrea del Val, Miss Venezuela 2025, shared images of facial injuries after an alleged altercation with stylist Giovanni Laguna in a hotel room during the Cannes Film Festival.
Del Val posted photos and video on social media showing a bloodied facial wound. She accused Laguna of causing the injury and said the images showed what he had done.
Laguna, creative director of Miss Universe Colombia, was arrested and handed over to French authorities after the incident. He was later released.

Her celebrity stylist, 33-year-old Giovanni Laguna, was arrested at the scene after other guests reported hearing shouting and sounds of a violent struggle.

Laguna later posted a video giving his version of events. He denied hitting Del Val or intentionally hurting her.
He claimed the injury happened when he moved toward Del Val to take her phone, tripped over lighting equipment and caused a lamp or tripod setup to strike her. He also alleged that she later hit, kicked and bit him.

Laguna said French authorities released him after hearing his account. Del Val’s posts drew widespread attention in Venezuela and across the beauty pageant community.
