Amitabh Bachchan, at 81, continues to engage and inspire his fans with his reflective blog posts. Recently, he addressed why he remains active in the film industry at his age.
Starting his latest blog entry with characteristic flair, he wrote, “They keep asking me on the set why I am still working. I simply see it as another job opportunity. What else could be the reason?”
While others may have interpretations and assessments, his motivation is purely personal. Others may try to apply their theories, but until they’ve walked in my shoes, they might not understand. You are free to draw your conclusions as I am to continue my work.”
In his blog, Bachchan emphasized the importance of personal choice in his career decisions, stating, “My work was given to me. When you’re asked the same question, you can answer it. My reasons may not align with yours, but I continue because I have the right to choose my path.”
He concluded his post provocatively: “The ‘impotence of content’ may compel you to build your narratives. But like sandcastles, these may eventually collapse. I, on the other hand, am steadfast—I WORK. PERIOD. Got a problem with that? Well then, get to work and see for yourself.”
Amitabh Bachchan continues to host the popular TV show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (KBC) and was most recently seen in the film “Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin, starring alongside Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani.
