Karachi: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi remanded senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Amir Khan, into police custody for two more weeks.
Amid tight security, Khan was produced in the ATC where the judge sent him on two-week judicial remand ending on June 25.
Amir Khan’s request for B-class in the jail was also approved.
Khan is booked in a case registered by Rangers for giving refuge to the absconders and convicted criminals in Nine Zero – the MQM’s headquarters – and its adjacent areas.
The paramilitary force said in the FIR that Amir Khan as security in-charge of Nine Zero kept convicted criminals at Nine Zero and in houses in nearby streets.
