Actor Amber Davies issued an Amber Davies filming warning after asking staff at Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre to remove a woman who allegedly recorded the entire first act of “Legally Blonde.”
Davies, who plays Elle Woods in the UK and Ireland touring production, addressed the incident in an Instagram Story during the interval on Saturday, July 11. She said the front-row phone use distracted the cast throughout the performance.
The West End performer said the disruption had affected morale during the cast’s eighth show of the week. She asked front-of-house staff to ensure the audience member did not return for the second act.
Davies reminded followers not to record live theatre and warned that she would identify future offenders by their seat location. She urged audiences to experience the two-and-a-half-hour production without filming it.
The available reports did not confirm whether the theatre staff ultimately removed the woman.
Curve Theatre and ROYO produced the new touring version of “Legally Blonde the Musical.” The production opened in Leicester on February 7, 2026, and is scheduled to tour the United Kingdom and Ireland until January 2027.
