Throwing in his lot with the televangelist cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that the present rulers should leave voluntarily, while terming Dr.Tahir-ul-Qadri’s demands as “genuine and legal”.

MQM chief maintained that the bloodshed is intolerable now and the rulers should leave now.

The veteran politician lamented that if the government is not accepting fair demands of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) asking what one can do if faced by such a situation.

He said that fourteen people were killed and eighty were injured on June 17 in Model Town which included even women and children but despite the court orders, an F.I.R is not being registered.

“These protest sit-ins are going on for 15 days, is this some kind of joke going on”, asked an angry Altaf Hussain.
