Aleema Khan, the sister of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, expressed gratitude towards Rana Sanaullah during a media interaction at the Islamabad High Court.
Aleema Khan acknowledged the unintended positive consequences of Sanaullah’s legal actions against her brother Imran Khan.
“I take back my words about Rana Sanaullah. Today, I thank Rana Sanaullah,” Aleema Khan stated, reflecting a shift in her previous stance. She credited Sanaullah’s pursuit of the cipher case with keeping the cipher relevant and ensuring it remained a part of Pakistan’s historical narrative. “If he had not pursued this case, the cipher would have been buried,” she added.
Aleema Khan further emphasized the case’s significance in uncovering crucial documents and details that otherwise might have remained hidden. “Thanks to Rana Sanaullah’s case, the cipher remains a part of Pakistan’s history,” she explained, appreciating that the legal actions initiated against her brother led to greater transparency and the revelation of important information.
Concluding her statement, she reiterated her thanks to Sanaullah for his role in bringing the case to the forefront, which helped highlight critical aspects of the situation surrounding the cipher. “I thank Rana Sanaullah for initiating the cipher case against Imran Khan. Aleema Khan will stay,” she affirmed, signalling her ongoing commitment to support her brother and stay engaged in the political discourse.
