Aleema Khan’s message on Imran Khan remained the central political theme on Tuesday, as the PTI founder’s sister said he “was, is, and will always remain the chairman” of the party.
Speaking to the media at Gorakhpur Factory checkpoint in Rawalpindi, Aleema Khan said Imran Khan remains PTI’s undisputed leader and stressed that he spent more than three decades building the political movement. Current reporting also reflects her position that she is not seeking a formal party role and is instead focused on supporting her brother during a critical period.
Aleema Khan said her brother remains the party’s unquestioned leader and framed his role as central to PTI’s political identity.
She also said that although she may be eligible for a formal position within the party, her primary responsibility is to stand by Imran Khan during what she described as a difficult phase. That message reinforced a broader effort to show continuity inside PTI despite the pressure surrounding its jailed founder.
Resistance against tyranny and oppression is a duty. Imran Khan's movement against the theft of the people's mandate is an example of such resistance, explained his sister @Aleema_KhanPK.

PTI’s Political Struggle and Public Message
Aleema Khan argued that after being removed from government, Imran Khan began what she called a “genuine resistance movement.” She added that his political struggle had raised public awareness about democratic rights and accountability in Pakistan.
She also highlighted the role of voters, saying the people of Pakistan have the right to question their elected representatives through the power of the ballot. Her remarks positioned PTI’s current stance as both political and public-facing, with leadership and legitimacy at its centre.

Referring to recent political developments, Aleema Khan claimed the government had urged PTI not to stage protests on April 9 and alleged that Ayaz Sadiq personally made such requests.
She also said PTI had demanded that Imran Khan be transferred to a hospital due to mounting pressure on the government. AP reported earlier this year that Khan was set to receive medical treatment for a serious eye condition after reported vision loss, while his family and party had pressed for hospital-level care and broader medical access.
Aleema Khan concluded by stating that dialogue would continue and that PTI remained committed to maintaining complete peace in its political activities.
That closing message appeared designed to present the party as open to engagement while still firmly backing Imran Khan’s leadership and political line.
