Al-Qaeda chief of Karachi and at least four operatives were killed in an overnight encounter with Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police in Qayyumabad, Karachi.
CID Incharge Raja Umar Khattab told media that the overnight shootout with the saboteurs of banned outfit occurred in D Area of Qayyumabad.
He claimed that CID killed Qaeda terrorists include Sajid Aka Karjal, Muhammed Hashim, Yaseen Aka Arafat and Shameem Aka Commando.
He said Commander Sajid came to Karachi from Bangladesh in 2009 and got himself a fake identity card from the NADRA.
He further added that Sajid was an expert in making bombs. The terrorists were planning to mount a suicide attack today on a vehicle of an intelligence agency.
The CID Chief also claimed that Sajid became chief of Al-Qaeda Karachi after being affiliated with chief of Al-Qaeda Indian Content Wing, Asim in 2014.
Firearms, hand grenades, suicide jackets and Kalashnikovs were recovered from the killed terrorists.
