The broadcast of Geo News has been suspended in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) following directives issued by the Prime Minister of the region, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, on Friday.
The AJK Prime Minister’s directive was issued in response to the airing of content deemed blasphemous on Geo’s morning show, “Utho Jago Pakistan,” hosted by Shaista Lodhi. Consequently, cable operators in AJK have ceased the transmission of Geo News across the region.
