The Afghan Taliban initiated efforts to end infighting between two factions of their Pakistani counterparts.
A turf war between two factions of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed between 25 and 30 lives in the country’s tribal areas.
In pamphlets distributed in North Waziristan today, Mulla Omar, head of the Afghan Taliban, appealed to TTP groups to end their fighting.
Reports say that Haqqani network is trying to patch up differences between the warring Taliban factions.
In his letter, Mulla Omar has also appealed to public to pray for the ceasefire.
