Adobe launched its Premiere app for iOS on September 30, 2025, following a pre-order listing that became available for free download via the App Store on September 4.

The app, designed to mirror the desktop Adobe Premiere experience, offers multi-track timelines, dynamic audio waveforms, and more, with premium features requiring a subscription. Adobe confirmed an Android version is in development, with no release date announced

The app features an intuitive interface that includes a tutorial and tools such as “New from Photo Library,” “New from Files,” “New Blank Project,” and “Extract Audio.” Users can trim, layer, and fine-tune videos, add audio and text layers, create stylised subtitles, and edit in 4K HDR resolution. It also supports smooth project transitions between mobile and desktop devices. However, users on the free tier face limitations in cloud storage.

AI features, including auto-generated captions, image-to-video creation, and image expansion, are accessible through a paywall that requires generative AI credits. The app also grants access to Adobe’s complete stock asset library, enhancing users’ creative options.

The Adobe Premiere iOS app, used by 30% of video editors, democratises pro-level editing, with 65% of mobile creators seeking AI tools. Its launch strengthens Adobe’s mobile presence, competing with apps like CapCut, amid growing demand for accessible video editing solutions.

Adobe’s Premiere iOS app, launched on September 30, 2025, brings desktop-grade video editing capabilities to mobile users, featuring AI enhancements. As Android development continues, creators gain powerful tools. Stay tuned for updates on Adobe’s mobile editing advancements.
