Accountability court indicts Ashraf Magsi and two other suspects

Quetta : Former Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) chairman Ashraf Magsi and two other former directors were produced before an accountability court here on Tuesday and indicted.

Ashraf Magsi and two other former directors have been accused of irregularities in recruitment at the Balochistan Public Service Commission and were indicted today at an accountability court. All three accused, however, denied the charges against them.

Ashraf Magsi and two former deputy directors of the commission Waheed-ur-Rehman and Niaz Kakar were summoned by the accountability court on Tuesday morning. Ashraf Magsi has been accused of practicing irregularities in recruitments at the Balochistan Public Service Commission whereas the other two directors have been accused of providing him assistance.

After being indicted, all three suspects denied the allegations against them. Proceedings for the case were delayed till June 21.

Magsi had been arrested by NAB-Balochistan last month from his residence.
