“Abdullahpur Ka Devdas” premieres on Express Entertainment as a 13-episode romantic drama starring Bilal Abbas Khan, Sarah Khan and Raza Talish.
The drama airs Monday to Wednesday at 8:00 pm, with Anjum Shahzad directing the series from a script by Shahid Dogar.
Bilal Abbas Khan plays Fakhar, a poet who loves Gulbano, played by Sarah Khan.
The story follows Gulbano as she falls for an anonymous poet called “Devdas,” while Fakhar’s friend Kashif, played by Raza Talish, pretends to be the poet to win her attention.
The plot later reveals Fakhar as the real Devdas, placing him at the centre of the drama’s conflict over love, loyalty and deception.
The series uses old Lahore, especially Abdullahpur, as the backdrop for its story of friendship, heartbreak and hidden identity.
The cast also includes Nauman Ijaz as Qais and Anoushay Abbasi as Jaeema Deeqan.
