At least four people including Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker and a policeman were killed in shooting incidents in different areas of Karachi earlier today.
MQM worker Raees Aalam was gunned down near Gaddafi Chowk in Orangi Town while a policeman was shot dead in Lyari’s Kalakot area. Abdul Hamid was performing duty at the residence of IG Sindh.
Separately, a son stabbed his father to death over a domestic dispute in Quaidabad area. The suspect managed to escape from the scene.
A gang war suspect identified as Aslam alias Ajju was killed clash with Rangers personnel in Baghdadi area.
In Mominabad area, Imran alias Kohistani was killed in alleged encounter with Rangers personnel. The suspect belonged to Tehreek-e-Taliban Swati Group who was running a network in the metropolis.
Another suspected criminal was killed in police encounter in the Saeedabad area.
On the other hand, several suspects were held during Rangers’ search operation in the Chanesar Goth area of Mehmoodabad.
