In the United Kingdom (UK), West Yorkshire, a total of 24 individuals have been sentenced to a cumulative 346 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing multiple young girls.

The prosecutions originated from an investigation into the sexual abuse of eight girls in North Kirklees from 1999 to 2012. Centered around Batley and Dewsbury, the police operation culminated in charges by December 2020, following arrests that began in late 2018.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that the convicts and sentenced included;

Reporting restrictions were lifted on Friday, revealing outcomes from multiple trials over two years at Leeds Crown Court. During these trials, West Yorkshire Police described the crimes as “absolutely shocking offending,” highlighting that victims were treated as “defenceless commodities to be abused and traded at whim.”

Notably, four men from these trials received prison sentences exceeding 20 years, emphasizing the severity of their crimes.

In a major police operation in West Yorkshire, 24 men have been sentenced to a total of 346 years in prison for sexually exploiting girls between 1999 and 2012.
