At least 22 people were injured when a passenger bus and train engine collided at Karor LalEsan transient gate in Layyah on Saturday.
The incident took place when a bus collided with a train engine while crossing the railway track through the opened transientgate.
The injured were shifted to the Tehsil Hospital Lal Esan for medical assistance; however, the injured people have faced difficulties in treatment due to the unavailability of medical staff.
Sources revealed the railway administration’s negligence behind the accident as the transient gate was kept open when the engine was crossing the railway track.
Meanwhile, the fog has also affected the rescue work at the railway station.
