The countdown to the 2025 Oscars is underway, promising an unforgettable night of cinematic celebration despite the ongoing wildfires impacting parts of Los Angeles.
In a statement, current CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang confirmed that the ceremony will proceed as planned even as several board members and the former CEO face personal losses from the disaster.
This year’s competition is wider than ever, with films like Anora, Wicked, Conclave, Emilia Perez, and Nickel Boys vying for the coveted Best Picture award.
