Former prime minister Shaukat Aziz had actually endorsed the emergency of November, 3, 2007 during a cabinet meeting, revealed a document available with Geo News.
According to the document, the then prime minister and his cabinet endorsed the emergency on November 6, three days after its declaration by the former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf.
The document got through cabinet secretariat, revealed that Aziz told his cabinet members that the emergency was necessary given the law and order situation and judicial activism.
