Earlier today, at least 16 people were injured when a van belonging to a private company overturned near Port Qasim, on the outskirts of the city. Rescue sources reported that the accident occurred due to the van’s high speed, which caused the driver to lose control.
The injured passengers, whose identities have not yet been confirmed, included women and children. They were immediately taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for urgent medical treatment. Medical officials have indicated that six of the injured are in critical condition.
The incident caused significant traffic disruption, and emergency teams swiftly secured the area, ensuring that the injured received timely care. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, emphasising the dangers of speeding on busy roadways such as the Port Qasim area
