Turkey’s government-run disaster and emergency management agency has stated that 201 people have been killed in an explosion and fire at a coal mine in western Turkey.
The accident Tuesday in the coal mine in Soma, some 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Istanbul has trapped 787 mineworkers .
The government agency says some 363 people have been rescued from the site so far.
